Rev. Ryan Tankersley
Rev. Ryan Tankersley is the Pastor of St. John’s Baptist Church, Woburn, Massachusetts. He is an upbeat and dynamic man of God who is compassionate about serving the Lord and loves his family. Rev. Tankersley and his wife Julie Tankersley have been married for over 21 years and have three children. They joined St. John’s Baptist Church in February 2022.
Rev. Tankersley gained 11 years of ministry experience serving two Baptist congregations through God’s grace. Licensed in 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church – Haverhill, MA, under the mentorship of Rev. Dr. Gregory E. Thomas, Rev. Tankersley served the congregation as Preacher, Treasurer, Bible Study Teacher, and Men’s choir member. In 2018, Rev. Tankersley was ordained at New Hope Baptist Church – Portsmouth, NH, under the mentorship of Rev. Dr. Arthur L. Hilson and served the church as Preacher, Chair of Sunday School, Chair of Scholarship Committee, and member of the COVID-19 Reconvene Committee.
Through God’s blessings, Rev. Tankersley is a graduate of Northeastern University, where he earned his Business Administration Degree in Finance & Insurance in 2001. He is also a graduate of the University of Massachusetts – Lowell, where he achieved his Master of Business Degree in 2015. Rev. Tankersley graduated from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary – Center for Urban Ministry (CUME) in May 2021, earning his Master of Divinity Degree and being awarded an academic distinction for preaching.
