Welcome,
St. John’s Baptist Church, Woburn, Massachusetts, will host four (4) sessions as they launch the Black History Teaching Program. The BHTP will strive to:
Appreciate, value, and share many accomplishments of Black people and others from the African Diaspora.
Connect and allow strengthening cross-generational ties and communication essential to future success, legacy building, and reverence for our ancestors.
“Knowledge is POWER,” and education is the essential passport to negotiate life’s journeys. Being educated gives us an understanding of who we are as Black people and deepens our understanding of who we are. George Washington Carver, a great Black inventor, said, “Education is the key to unlocking the golden door of freedom.”
